Patronus Harry looked curiously at the owl that had come in bearing a parchment. Had he ever seen it before? Four secretaries sifted his owls everyday, looking for death threats, proposals, and bombs with unknown owls. Shrugging, he took the parchment off the owl's leg, opening it carefully. Dear (indiscernible scribble) Mr. Harry (another indiscernible scribble)
Potter, Harry's eyes widened as he dropped the parchment on his desk. A smile fixed on his features as he sat back, letting the memories wash over him. "Check," Ginny drawls, moving her bishop then putting her fingers under her chin, eyes warm as she watches him. They are sitting inside, waiting for Ron and Hermione to come back from snogging in woods. He blocks it easily with his knight, his brow furrowed in concentration. She only smiles, taking his knight with her queen, still leaving the king in sight. 'Checkmate.' He stares at her. 'When you moved your knight, it left the way clean for my rook. So I get you with my rook, queen and bishop.' He blinks, once, then twice, then twists his mouth into something that looks like a grin. 'That was a short game.' She doesn't answer, just stares curiously at him. He self-consciously runs his hand over his already messy hair. 'What?' 'It's been ages since I've seen you smile,' she says simply. 'You should do it more often.' He digests the knowledge, grinning wider. 'Another game?' 'Sure.' She begins picking the pieces up again and in his insistence to help her, his hand brushes hers for a brief second. They both freeze. Ginny smiles, then moves her hand away, nimbly picking up the pieces and putting them in their proper place. The jolt of electricity seems to end up in a tingling that threatens to shoot sparkles down his spine. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ 'You're hopeless,' Ginny laughs, pushing at his shoulder, trying to get back up into a sitting position. 'I know,' he says softly before nibbling on her ear and sending nipping kisses down to her neck. 'I have to get back to my homework,' she protests, as her arms wrap around his neck. 'You're just a mighty paradox, Ginny Weasley,' he murmurs before putting his arms around her waist and nuzzling her neck with his nose, pushing her hair out of the way. 'Do I confuse you?' she asks innocently, running her hands by his belt, toying with the buckle. 'Yes, but I'm ever interested in figuring you out,' he whispers before crushing her lips with his. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ 'I swear if Snape gives me another Potions essay, I'll go kill him!' Ginny is ranting (again) about the homework level he had experienced last year. Her eyes sparkle, her face heating with a faint blush. Quite a beautiful picture, Harry thinks admiringly. The red glow of the fireplace sparks the gold tints of her hair making her look, simply, like an angel. 'Come here,' he says, suddenly sitting up. She lets out an annoyed sigh, the one he has memorized by heart. 'Have you even been listening to me?' Nevertheless, she walks over to him. 'Not really,' he answers truthfully, looking expectantly into her eyes. 'What happened to the 'I'll always listen to you' idea?' she grumbles. 'I'm not sure where it went.' He grins. He pulls her down into his lap. 'But I'm always up for that little moan you make whenever I kiss you,' He draws nearer to her, his arm encircling her waist. 'And that little whimper you make whenever I touch you.' Her eyes widens as his hand brushes over her breasts momentarily. 'And that giggle you make whenever I tickle your feet.' One hand comes up to cup her chin as he grins at her. His face moves closer to hers as he leans in. He presses his mouth against her slightly open one, snaking his tongue in to touch hers lightly. They eventually break apart, panting slightly and leaning their foreheads against each others. He kisses her lightly freckled cinnamon-dusted nose, fingering her soft hair between his fingers. He pulls her closer, hugging her tightly. 'Done with your rant about Potions essays?' 'Mmmm,' She murmurs before her hands slips under the collar of his robes. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ 'I really need to go get ready now,' She explains as she sees his puzzled look when she rises from her comfortable seat of his lap. 'The ball is in 3 hours.' He grins here. 'I can think of better things we could do during that time.' She laughs, evading his playful grasp. She quickly kisses his lips, running quickly up into the girl's dormitories. Harry sighs. Those stinking Founders. They just had to put those charms on the girl's dormitories. Thus making his life a stinking hell. He tries to forget that she is probably in the showers now, the water running in riverulets over her-- Harry groans, then picks up his cloak. Maybe a snowball fight could knock some sense into him. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ He talks casually to Seamus Finnigan when his partner freezes, looking over Harry's shoulder. Harry frowns, turning around but also finds his eyes widening and his mouth dry. Ginny smiles self-consciously, feeling all the stares from the boys a little disconcerting. Shyly tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she walks to Harry, who also seems to have been rendered speechless at the sight of her. She has on blood red robes, her hair loosely tumbling over her shoulders in a careless air that belies the time she spent on it. The golden streaks are more prominent in her red hair and her pale creamy skin, accentuated by the blood red lipstick she wears. 'Ready?' She asks with an amused smile as she reaches him. 'Ready as I'll ever be,' he whispers, drawing her close. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ 'I love you,' she mumbles into his neck while they are dancing to a slow song. 'Love you more,' he murmurs into her hair, clutching her even more closely to him. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ 'That one looks like a unicorn,' she says frankly, snuggling up to his side for warmth as a cool breeze wafts by. 'I dunno, I thought it looks like Hogwarts,' he teases, curling her hair between his fingers. 'It doesn't look like Hogwarts!' she protests, pointing out the cloud she was talking about. He moves closer to her, putting his head right beside hers. 'It looks exactly like a unicorn, with the one horn in the middl-e-' He stops her by rolling atop her, pressing her body still further into the grass. He mischievously grins at her before twining his fingers with hers. He quickly draws toward her lips. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ 'Give me the cookie!' She laughs as she tries to take the cookie bowl from him. He inserts the cookie in his mouth, waiting for her to break it away, watching amusedly and wondering whether she will actually eat it now. Instead, she grins at him, drawing closer until she's completely on his lap. She slowly opens her mouth, taking in the remaining cookie and then biting upon it, her lips meeting with his. She pulls away, staring at him while the cookie crumbles in her mouth, waiting for his reaction. 'Sod this,' he groans, as he pulls her down again upon his lap. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ She is eating ice cream from a cone, swiftly twirling her tongue upon the cold mass. She nibbles at the cone, making a sucking sound as she eats. He smiles mischievously before taking the ice cream out of her grasp, pulling it out of her reach. 'Harry,' she complains, reaching for it. 'You're paying too much attention to the ice cream I bought you.' She pouts as he laughs at her expression. 'But I'm hungry, and it's not fair.' 'You're not paying any attention to me.' He says, continuing to keep it out of her reach. 'I'll..... tickle you if you don't give it here.' 'What if I'm not ticklish?' 'I'll tickle you anyway.' 'Fine.' He pulls down the ice cream, touching it to her nose. She tries to reach her nose with her tongue, making such bizarre expressions that he is half afraid that it might really stick. 'I can't reach it!' She whines, smiling all the same. 'Maybe you can't,' he whispers, drawing near her nose. 'But I sure can.' His tongue laps up the chocolate ice cream dabbed on her nose. She shivers, closing her eyes. 'You're so beautiful,' he says softly, before putting his arms around her waist and putting his chin on her shoulders. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ 'Let's stay like this forever,' she smiles looking expectantly up at him. They are lying down on a hillside looking up at the star-lit sky. 'We can try, Gin. We can try,' he whispers, drawing her nearer. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ 'I swear we're going to win this game,' Ron rants to a bored team who has heard the speech a million times before. Harry catches her gaze from across the room, then nods slowly. She grins, quickly sneaking over to him as Ron turns his back to him, muttering something about the Dobblejitters Defense. They quickly sneak into the boy's locker area. He suddenly turns toward her, desperate to feel her lips against his. She pulls down his head gently to capture his lips with hers, twining her arms around his neck. She arches her neck to him as his mouth delves lower, planting open mouth kisses down her throat. A strangled moan erupts from her throat as his tongue touches the shell of her ear. Her hands come up to his hair, tugging gently as her mouth seeks his. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ He watches her flit from one part of the sky to another in a matter of seconds. Deciding to join her, he mounts his Firebolt, catching up to her quickly. He pulls out of his flying to hover in mid-air to stare at her. Merlin, she's beautiful, he thinks fondly at the flushed red cheeks and the bright hazel eyes in her face. She suddenly seems to notice him staring at her and she cocks her head. 'Hello to you, too.' She smiles sardonically, a dimple appearing southwest of the corner of her mouth. He doesn't say anything, only stares at her. 'Um, Harry, lovely greeting. I'm fine, how are you?' Still no answer. Her eyebrows furrow as she swoops down so she is directly in front of him. 'You're alive, right?' He only smiles, slowly twining his arms around her waist. She wriggles uncomfortably. 'You know that this isn't the best situation? What if we fall off?' 'Too bad.' He growls, softly covering her lips with his. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ 'Marry me,' he whispers into her ear as they snuggle up closer for warmth before the fire at the Burrow. She turns toward him, eyes widening. 'What?' 'Marry me,' he repeats, simply, twining her fingers in his. She bites her lip for a moment, then grins up at him. 'When should we set the date?' ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ '...man and wife. You may--' Harry swiftly cuts him off by moving closer to her and fully capturing her trembling lips with his. 'Love you,' he murmurs softly as she pulls back after a while. Ginny smiles knowingly. 'Love you too.' ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ Her dress is on the floor, pure white in the moonlight as he feasts his eyes on his sleeping wife. He still can’t believe he has her. She shifts, murmuring under her breath, then sleepily opening her eyes as she feels his intense scrutiny. 'I don't know what I've done to deserve you,' he blurts out, finally. She raises an eyebrow at him, putting her arms around his neck, rubbing it lightly. 'Being you,' she answers simply, looking deeply into his green eyes. He stares at her. 'Gods, you're so wonderful,' he softly murmurs, finally, before he rolls atop her, kissing her fully. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ 'You'll be all right, darling,' he whispers softly to her as he sees her face scrunch up in pain. ‘It hurts,' she whimpers, looking expectantly up at him. 'I'm right here.' He holds onto her hand even more tightly. 'You know I would take the pain away for you, but--' 'Until Hermione perfects that spell for letting the man carry the baby, we can't do anything.' She weakly smiles up at him He smiles back at her, still holding her hand to reassure her. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ‘Congratulations, Mr. Potter, she’s such a beautiful girl.’ The nurse smiles, taking the tiny bundle swathed in a soft blanket, and giving it to him. He blankly stares, then slowly takes the bundle out of the nurse’s arms. ‘Harry....’ He hears a soft murmur from the bed. He quickly strides over to where she is lying. ‘Help me up,’ she whispers to him. ‘No,’ he says sternly. ‘You can’t--’ He melts at the puppy dog eye come to view. ‘All right. Just for a little while.’ There is a silence after she is up. ‘I want to hold her. I want to hold our baby.’ He slowly sits down, gently handing the baby over to his suddenly beaming wife. ‘Isn’t she so beautiful?’ She asks, cooing to the baby who immediately yawns and snuggles instinctively toward the protective warmth of Ginny’s arms. Gently caressing the baby’s cheek, he draws them both in his arms. And he smiles. A family. “You know what, Remus?” Harry asked, laughingly, as the graying man sat in one of the chairs. “You shouldn’t have told that kid to ask me.” Remus looked quizzically at Harry. “Why not?” “You think you know my memories that well?” Remus shrugged. “Shouldn’t it be the usual? Celebrating with your friends, and all that?” Harry looked hurt. “And you forgot I have a wife and two kids.” The DADA professor relaxed back in his chair, then suddenly scrambled up, eyes widening. “You don’t say--” “Well, what did you expect? Happy moments when I earned the Order of Merlin, first class, for defeating Voldemort?” Harry laughed, his green eyes filled with mirth. “If you only knew, Remus.” “Don’t you have other memories that you use while you concentrate on the Patronus charm?” “Not really,” he answered truthfully. “I mean, 99.9% of my thoughts are dedicated to my family, and at least half of that, to Ginny.” “Oh, great. Any non-R rated scenes?” “I don’t know.” Harry looked thoughtful. “Maybe the time when we sneaked off into a broom cupboard after my final Quidditch game and devoted our time to--” “I don’t want to know.” Remus said, screwing his eyes shut. That was the scene that Ginny Apparated in on. She looked about for a moment, where Harry was laughing is rear off on the ground, and to where Remus was childishly trying to plug is ears. “Honestly.” Then came her melodic laugh. “What is happening?” She helped Harry up, as Remus cautiously opened an eye. “Did he stop talking yet?” “Yes.” “But, you know, Gin, we could tell him about the time--” Remus quickly interrupted him. “A-hem. Uh, I’ve got to finish grading some papers- the 5th years are really giving me big trouble in their essays, so,” he finished weakly, “I think I’ll be going?” “You sure?” Ginny asked, softly smiling. “Wouldn’t you like to stay for tea?” “No, that’s fine.” He extended a hand, quickly shaking hers, then Disapparated. Harry immediately came over to where she was, looking quizzically at where Remus had Apparated. Wrapping his arms around her waist, he nuzzled her neck softly with his nose. Ginny turned her head around, snuggling into his embrace. “You’ll tell me what that was about, won’t you?” “I’ll tell you a hint,” he said, mischievously grinning. “It’s about you.” She rolled her eyes. “Then I’ve got to know.” She turned around completely in his arms, ducking her head slightly and rubbing her hands on his neck. Ginny coyly looked up at him, licking her lips, then brushing her lips against his. “Are you telling me anytime soon?” she asked breathlessly. And another addition to my ever-growing list of memories for the Patronus charm, thought Harry, smiling as he kissed his wife thoroughly. faire une fin
